Carbs are OK, but stick to COMPLEX
carbs like fruits and veggies. Avoid SIMPLE
carbs like white rice, pasta, bread, and simple sugar
. Complex sugars
like sucrose and fructose
(from fruits and veggies) are okay. The amount of carbs u take should depend on your activities.
- Eat more carbs before your workout.
- Eat less carbs if you\'re gonna be sitting down at your PC or TV for hours.
- Eat little or no carbs before going to bed.
Try sticking to foods with low to medium GI (Glycemic Index). Avoid those of high GI.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glycemic_index
I struggled with a high bfp in the past. Cutting out white rice from my diet worked very well. Now I stick to lean meat, potatoes, fruits, and veggies.
Like most people, I don\'t like veggies, but I have to eat some veggie to include vitamins and roughage (dietary fibres) to my diet. Of cos, it\'s very hard to stick to such a boring and tasteless diet. If it is easy, there wouldn\'t be any obese people on Earth. Even adding tomato ketchup or mayonnaise to your salad will increase your scarb
intake significantly! If you\'re too lazy to chop and cook vegetables, just buy apples, cucumbers, and lettuces cos they require little to no preparation, and you can eat them raw. I suggest buying mixed veg
that are all chopped and packaged nicely. All you gotta do is microwave it!
