Note me for more info
It have been years that my mother was sick and we were undefined about my mothers sickness. Last weekend my family finally performed jingle bell and my mom was able to feel better. Yes, the jingle bell ceremony was big and we did have to sacrifice a duck, pigs, and as usual chickens. We had to make bamboo signs and put duck feathers on top of our door. As usual the bamboo signs and the duck feathers was to protect my mother, my house, and my family from the evil spirits. Just about two days ago my family have been discriminating by the city of Clovis that we have duck feathers and bamboo signs in front of our house. As i took down the feathers, I was completely distracted about how they humiliated our whole Hmong community culture and practices saying that we have animal feathers and bamboo signs protecting us. So we got two tickets saying that we have duck feathers hanging around our door and we have bamboo signs in front of our door as littering. As of 1st Amendment we have the right to practice our religion. They are humiliating our Hmong culture, forcing us to tear down our protective signs. So what do everyone think we should do? Tear everything down or fight for our religious right? "">
